Fresh out of school, Christopher McCandless, 22 years old, is destined for a brilliant future. Yet, turning his back on the comfortable and predictable life that awaits him, the young man decides to hit the road, leaving everything behind. From the wheat fields of Dakota to the turbulent waters of Colorado, passing through Californian hippie communities, Christopher will meet colorful characters. Each, in their own way, will shape his view of life and others.
