School visits, pre- and extracurricular visits, with or without a guide, are organized by registration only. All registrations are subject to written confirmation.

Unguided visits for preschool, school and extracurricular groups

  • Mandatory registration at least 48 hours in advance via form or email.
  • Free museum entry for the group and accompanying persons.
  • Possible times: Tuesday to Friday, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. and between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Guided visits

  • Swiss public schools (compulsory level from age 6 and post‑compulsory): free.
  • Preschool (daycares, nurseries, APEMS) and extracurricular (community centers) Lausanne: free.
  • Private schools, higher education institutions and schools outside Switzerland: 100 CHF, admission included.
  • Mandatory registration at least 2 weeks in advance via form or email. (see the upcoming scheduled visits).
  • Possible times: Tuesday to Friday, from 9:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Collection of Art Brut lends a portfolio with reproductions of artworks for preparing a museum visit in class.

Documentation Center of the Collection of Art Brut

Possibility to consult by appointment the documentation of the museum’s specialized center, which brings together nearly 10,000 titles and 500 films, including the rich and varied archives of Jean Dubuffet as well as documents (books, articles, DVDs, etc.) produced or acquired by the Collection of Art Brut.
