The Association of Friends of Art Brut went to Italy for a new trip to discover places dedicated to Art Brut.

On the program was a visit to the Casa dell’Art Brut, located in Mairano di Casteggio (Pavie), which is the custodian of the Collection Fabio & Leo Cei and works from the Carlo Zinelli Foundation.

On site, welcomed by Fabio Cei, Marta Morgana Rudoni, Nicola Mazzeo, Silvia Baitini, Claudia Latino and Pietro Nocita, the association members were able to admire the richness of the Fabio & Leo Cei collection, notably featuring works by Gugging artists such as August Walla, Oswald Tschirtner, or Italian artists Eugenio Cuniberti, Curzio Di Giovanni, and Antonio Dalla Valle.

The group also visited the Casa Museo Pietro Ghizzardi in Boretto (Emilie Romagne), a house museum dedicated to the work and life of this Italian author, which is managed by his family. The trip concluded with a visit to the exhibition Antonio Ligabue e l'arte degli Outsider at the Palazzo delle Paure in Lecco, on the shore of Lake Como.
